Orcas Food Co-op’s 6th annual member meeting: Thriving Together

Submitted by Orcas Food Co-op.

At Orcas Food Co-op we’re excited to hold our 6th Annual Member Meeting during National Co-op Month, a time when co-op’s nationwide raise awareness of the cooperative model as an effective way to do business and build communities. Continual input and engagement from our Members is an essential part of how we create a thriving Co-op together. This year’s Annual Meeting is designed to provide ample time for engaging with fellow members, along with Co-op staff and board, to talk about the Co-op’s future and explore new ways that our Co-op can serve our community. Following updates from our Board President and General Manager, we will split into virtual breakout rooms to connect in smaller groups and generate ideas for how else we can be more than a food store, while building the cooperative economy to improve quality of life in the islands. What are your ideas?

During his update, our GM, Learner Limbach, will be unveiling new growth plans for the Co-op as well as a new Climate initiative that our Co-op Members will be able to participate in beginning this fall. We are looking forward to seeing our Co-op Members on Oct. 11 at 4 p.m.!
