Orcas Center seeks executive director

The board of trustees of the Orcas Center for the Performing and Visual Arts is seeking applications for the position of Executive Director.

Orcas Center is the premier performing and visual arts venue located on Orcas Island in the beautiful San Juan Islands archipelago off the coast of northern Washington state. It boasts an extraordinary facility and a committed performing arts community dedicated to theater, music, dance and visual arts through performances, classes, outreach programs, gallery exhibitions and special events.

The executive director is the chief operating officer of the center, responsible for all activities including financial management, donor development and fundraising, staff and volunteer supervision, facility management and public and Board relations.

The center has an annual budget of nearly $500,000. Candidates must have proven leadership, management skills and experience at creating effective teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for community involvement in the performing and visual arts.
