All car, truck and motorcycle fans are invited to form a spy team of two or three and join the Orcas Road Classics Association, the Orcas car club, on their Enigma Road Rally, on Saturday, April 25.

What was about to happen on Orcas Island in the spring of 1944 and who were the players? Each car rally spy team will engage in code cracking as they traverse Orcas Island, uncovering and solving more than12 different codes.

“This will be an undercover afternoon of sleuthing and discovery based on a fictional story line of a WWII spy on Orcas. Rally spy teams will try to solve all the puzzle pieces and propose the correct endgame solution. Each spy team will need cunning and craftiness to compete,” said rally master Phyllis Carney.

Enigma Rally registration packets are available at NAPA Island Automotive in Eastsound. The cost is $20 per team member and includes a lasagna dinner. Pre-rally packets will be mailed early to all teams registered by April 1 to aide in Enigma Rally preparation.

“A successful spy is always prepared and never underestimates the enemy,” say organizers.
