Orcas Artist Studio Tour call for artists

The Orcas Artist Studio Tour is looking for new artists to join the 2023 Tour, scheduled for August 12, 13 and 14.

Have you ever wondered how Forest Ceramics makes so amazing cups? Or how Kandis Susol makes her handmade paper look so delicate and ethereal? The Orcas Artist Studio Tour had over 25 artists on the tour last year and over 200 visitors touring the studios. Demonstrations by the artists are encouraged and many of the artists report this weekend as one of their best sales opportunities. The Tour takes no commission from the sales and only charges a nominal fee for collaborative advertising and signage.

“As far as a forum for reaching the public: the tour is fantastic and seems to grow better each year,” said participant Zack Leck. “It has become a cornerstone of my marketing efforts because I can showcase what I create and how I create it to so many interested folks in a relatively short period of time. The self-guided nature of the tour means that the visitors are at least a little curious before they arrive.”

The application for the tour opens on March 1 and is due by April 1. For more information, visit https://www.orcasartiststudiotour.com/.
