In British Columbia the battle is intensifying to save its rich biodiversity and native cultures from destruction by oil. Its dramatically scenic mountains, islands, and river valleys are home to the rare white spirit or “Kermode”  bear, a vast array of other wildlife and plants, and the eight distinct First Nations groups that depend on them.

Lutz will take you deep into the heart of this lush natural treasure, and help you consider the implications of the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline from the Alberta tar sands, and the associated super tankers navigating these tricky waters.
