The Orcas Island Community Foundation is excited to announce a call for proposals for the 2020 spring GiveOrcas grant program. Any nonprofit serving Orcas is invited to apply now through March 6, 2020 to be included. Applications will be vetted by the OICF Grants Committee; successful applications will be featured in the GiveOrcas grant catalog scheduled to be online April 29 – May 13, 2020. Read about the application process and download forms from our website: https://oicf.us/nonprofits/annual-grants/for-grant-applicants/.
All applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their proposal ideas with OICF before submission. Read the grant guidelines and FAQ on our website. An informational meeting will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Parish Hall to learn about the application process, answer questions and explain funding campaign strategies. Applicants for this year’s GiveOrcas grant cycle should plan to send a representative to this meeting.
OICF’s mission is to enhance and preserve the quality of life on Orcas Island. To accomplish this goal, OICF distributes funds from the Community Endowment on an annual basis and the grants are supplemented with funds from our “Partners in Philanthropy” through the GiveOrcas three-week campaign in the spring. In 2019 they distributed $232,000. For more information contact: Hilary Canty, 360-376-6423, Hilary@oicf.us or Kate Long, 360-376-6423, Kate@oicf.us. The catalog will be available online from April 29 – May 13, 2020.
