The James Beard Foundation has announced its 2022 Restaurant and Chef Awards semifinalists, and Orcas Island’s Matia Kitchen and Bar has made the semifinals.

Winners will be celebrated at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 13 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Restaurant and Chef Awards nominees, in addition to honorees for Leadership, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Humanitarian of the Year Awards will be revealed on Wednesday, March 16, in Scottsdale, AZ.

The James Beard Foundation’s Restaurant and Chef Awards were established in 1991 and is one of five separate recognition programs of the Awards.
