The Actors Theater of Orcas Island will present performances of the rollicking, laugh-out-loud comedy “Mama Won’t Fly.”

What happens when Norleen’s son, Walker, is getting married in California and mama lives in Birmingham, Ala. and won’t fly? A road trip, of course, as Norleen (Lesley Liddle), Savannah (Luann Pamatian) and Hayley (Rebecca Herman) set off to drive to California and see the sights and visit family along the way.

At the same time Savannah is searching for a long lost love to bring some happiness back into her life after two disastrous marriages. Just about everything that can go wrong does as fourteen actors take on the 25 roles of family, friends and strangers as the three women make their journey.

“Mama Won’t Fly” opens on Friday, Feb. 20 with additional performances on February 21, 27, 28 and March 6, 7 and 8. All performances start at 7:30 p.m.
