Follow Lysistrata and her band of renegades as the salvation of war-torn Greece lies in the hands of the matriarchy. This 45-minute dance theater piece incorporates burlesque and cabaret stylings to reinterpret the classical comedy by Aristophanes for a contemporary audience. Featuring a powerhouse soundtrack and an all-local cast. Performance is for mature audiences ages 18-plus.
This is a Valentine’s double feature, with two shows slotted for 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14 and Feb. 15. Tickets are limited to 40 seats per show and will sell out fast! A waitlist will be available at the door for any no-show ticket purchases.
There will be a DJ and dance party open to the public on Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m. after the show. Free admission to the dance party with ticket purchase, or by cash donation at the door. Concessions provided by Our Place Coffee Co.
