Local dance artists Laura Ludwig and Maria Bullock will curate the 2008 Orcas Center Community Dance Concert to be held on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14 and 15.

The curators encourage all creative dance spirits to participate in the concert by contributing original dance works of 3-5 minutes.

Ludwig notes: “Expression through music and dance helps us to relate in a different space – a place where we can be vulnerable, free, playful… where we can share bits and breaths of our truth. We encourage both experienced and beginning choreographers to join us this year. We are all moved differently, and it would be incredible to see people sharing their own ideas, communicating their thoughts on the world or place within it, playing with form, telling a story with their dance, or just raising vibrations through joyful motion!” Adds Bullock, “We would love to see some new faces, young talented teenagers, dancers who want to try their hand at choreography. Let the creation flow!”
