Kellen Comrie presents an evening of music

Kellen Comrie, 2013 winner of Orcas Has Talent, will be performing Sunday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Orcas Island Community Church.

Kellen Comrie, 2013 winner of Orcas Has Talent, will be performing Sunday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Orcas Island Community Church.

Comrie has invited other performers, including Jake Perrine, Madi Jane West, and Emy and Lisa Carter. Comrie will be going on a mission trip to Costa Rica with the Orcas Christian School, and will be accepting donations at the door for his trip.

In 1951, Bonneville Power Administration engineers completed the installation of a 7.5-mile, 25,000-volt submarine power cable connecting Anacortes to Decatur Island, which was the world’s longest underwater power line at that time.
