In their first performance of the New Year, JP and the OK Rhythm Boys will be playing at Agave Restaurant in Eastsound on Saturday, Jan. 7, from 6-8 p.m.

“Now that the holidays are over, enjoy a fun and relaxing evening of fine food and fiddling,” says band member Anita Orne.

The group features the sweet and fiery fiddle of JP Wittman, one of the northwest’s finest fiddlers (and one of Orcas’s favorites). JP is backed by Gordon Koenig and Anita Orne on guitar and bass, and sometimes a few other things. The music will include plenty of swing tunes, plus hoe-downs, waltzes, polkas, maybe even some Grateful Dead, “all done up all fiddly.” And they even sing some.

Reservations are strongly advised.

“Tables are already being booked so don’t miss out on what promises to be an enjoyable, memorable, and dapper evening,” said Orne. For reservations, call 376-1422.
