Tickets are now on sale for the very first Farm to Cafeteria community fundraiser, called “A Simple Sunday Supper.” The evening will feature JP and the OK Rhythm Boys, performing, in their words, “fiddle tunes, swing, rags, waltzes, hoe down, pretty much whatever catches your fancy!”

There will be a buffet of fresh local foods from Taproot, Maple Rock and Jones Family Farm prepared by past, present and future Celebrity Chefs Lisa Nakamura of Allium, Madden Surbaugh of The Quilted Pig, Abigael Birrell of Doe Bay Cafe, Christina Orchid, Charles Dalton of The Kitchen, Matt and Ryan Carpenter of the Deer Harbor Inn Restaurant and Ted and Susan Aspinall of Kathryn Taylor Chocolates. Also available will be freshly-pressed Golden Eye Farm apple cider and a no-host wine bar. Farm, food and garden items will be available by raffle or auction, some of them handmade by students.

The supper will be on Sunday, Nov. 14 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall. Tickets are $35 on pre-sale at the Chamber Office, or $40 at the door. Childcare may be available; call Madie Murray at 376-3064 to confirm.
