The Actors Theater of Orcas Island announces auditions for the “Jim French Radio Show” on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Grange. These popular radio shows consist of three 30-minute plays read in front of an audience.

Roles for more than a dozen actors are available and Director Doug Bechtel is particularly interested in new actors and actors without a lot of experience.

He says, “This is a great opportunity to see what it is like being in a play without having to memorize lines or spend months rehearsing. Each play will have six rehearsals, some alone, some with other plays over a two-week period followed by three performances.”

Everyone attending the audition will have the opportunity to participate in a group reading of the plays. The first rehearsal will be on Tuesday, Sept. 23 and the three performances will be on Oct. 3, 4 and 5.

Those who are interested but cannot make the first audition are who want additional information should contact Doug Bechtel at 317-5601.
