Angie Millen has been a teacher at Orcas Christian School for eight years, working with first- through third-grade students. She enjoys teaching younger grades and appreciates the peacefulness, natural beauty and supportive community that Orcas Island offers.
Before joining OCS, Millen taught in Montreal, Quebec, and served as an interim principal at a rural school in Alberta. She holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. Prior to her work at OCS, she also took time off to raise her three children.
“Angie possesses an exceptional ability to cultivate a classroom environment that is both safe and welcoming. Her distinctive approach ensures that even the most energetic students quickly become engaged in the educational process upon entering the room,” said OCS Principal Terry Pottle. “The classroom’s well-organized structure further provides a conducive setting where all students can thrive and achieve excellence.”
Millen’s dedication to fostering a nurturing and effective learning environment continues to make a positive impact on the lives of her students, shaping the next generation of learners on Orcas Island.
