The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual tree lighting festivities on Friday, Dec. 7.

Starting at 3:45 p.m., islanders and visitors can join the fun on the Village Green with hot cider and baked goodies for all in attendance.

Shortly thereafter, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive with bags of toys and treats for all the kids. The Orcas Community Band will provide holiday melodies starting at 4:15 p.m., and then at approximately 5 p.m., the evening will be capped off with the lighting of the tree, resplendent with bright, sparkling winter lights. Don’t be late.

“We thank the hard-working crew members of the Orcas Power & Light Cooperative for volunteering their time to string the tree with lights,” said chamber staff. “The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce wishes everyone the happiest of holiday seasons.”
