Celebrate the holiday season with the Actors’ Theater of Orcas Island production of “Winds In the Morning” written by Richard Carter of Lopez Island. The story is set in 1890s Port Townsend and is a touching Christmas tale filled with traditional music.

If you love a good story, rollicking sea shanties, a Celtic ballads and a local cast aged 13-82, come to the Orcas Island Grange on Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14, 15 at 7:30 p.m., with a Sunday matinee Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. The matinee will be attended by the playwright with a question and answer session after the show.

The play is directed by Melinda Milligan with musical direction by Dave “Z” Zoeller. Tickets are $10 at Darvill’s, www.orcasactors.org or at the door.
