After months of preparation, the HEART of Orcas Art Auction is set to take place Sunday Aug. 25 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at OrcaSong Farm.

The event benefits the Orcas Senior Center Nonprofit and features art donated by island artists as well as “vintage” art donated from the collections of island residents. It will be a celebration of art, food and music held in the beautiful gardens of OrcaSong Farm. Tickets are $50 each and are available at Darvill’s, the Deer Harbor Marina Office, the Orcas Senior Center and online at wwwo.rcasseniors.org.

Featured local artists include John Raymond Berry, Rosemarie Altberg, Frank Loudin,Suzanne Lamb, Karen Graber, Barbara Noonan, Josie Barrow, Vanessa Julián, Barbara Gourley, Janis Jones Maddox, Rosie Kuhn, Chaya and Eliezer, Joyce Pearson, Deborah Olliff, Don Olliff, Michelle Reed, Joellen Moldoff, Maggie Kaplan, Karen Blinn, Jessie Morrow, Sallie Bell, Erica Lyons, Susan Fleischer, Jayne Siroshton, Robbie Walker, Mimi Peters, Bruce Hanna and Betsy Nelson. More donations are still arriving.

The “vintage” art work holds many surprises — original pieces by island and Northwest artists, collectible signed and numbered prints and some Native American work.

“Everyone is sure to find something to Interest them regardless your taste and budget,” say organizers.
