Haro Marine Engineering announces new boat and yacht services

Submitted by Rob Griffith.

Haro Marine Engineering is proud to announce vessel services to Orcas Island and surrounding areas, providing boat and yacht owners access to system repair, maintenance and operational strategies used in regulated industrial and commercial vessel applications as well as implementing and maintaining the standards as set by the American Boat and Yacht Council.

“Haro Marine aims to improve vessel safety and reliability through proven engineering methodology in regard to system design, repair, maintenance and improvements. We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality of service, and that is what we want our customers to remember — quality work,” said Robert “Rob” Griffith, owner and chief engineer.

Many customers have already benefited from the services of Haro Marine. Recently, a customer contacted Griffith to service their vessel after prolonged poor performance. Haro Marine found system design and install deficiencies that, if left unattended, proposed rapid wear and high probability of equipment failure. The issue was resolved quickly, and Haro provided detailed information of the resolution.

“I couldn’t be happier with the service from Haro Marine. Rob is efficient, very knowledgeable and responds quickly,” said Orcas Islander Greg Ripley.

Griffith has spent more than half his adult life at sea, holds an Unlimited Chief Engineer License issued by the USCG, is an American Boat and Yacht Council Certified Technician and maintains multiple equipment and regulatory endorsements and certifications. While Griffith may speak in boat and engineering terms at times, he is proficient in providing explanations that are easy to understand.
