Hello, Orcas community! As we transition into the fall season, the Orcas Island Farmers Market has big announcements. Coming up on our calendar is our annual Harvest Festival on the Village Green. Saturday, Sept. 27, will be our last outdoor farmers market before we shift to our indoor Fall Market series at the Orcas Island School District’s school cafeteria, and you are invited to the Village Green to celebrate with us!

– Live music all market long from the Dustbunnies and Gene Nery.

– Giant zucchini contest (free to enter, bring your zukes by noon and win fun prizes and bragging rights).

– Win one of three harvest baskets full of goodies from some of your favorite vendors. Ticket monies benefit the Susan Osborne Memorial Vendor Support Fund, a mini-grant program to help support vendors in need of a startup boost each spring.

Tickets can be purchased daily through Sept. 26 at Orcas Arts (245 Main St.) or Saturdays at the farmers market before the drawing times on Sept. 27.

Starting Saturday, Oct. 4, we will move our market indoors to the Orcas Island school cafeteria. Please join us every Saturday through Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in a cozy and sweet atmosphere with our artisans and farmers, with live music from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Plenty of seating to hang out and catch up with everyone!
