Lindsay Lancaster from Orcas Island has been awarded a Carper Foundation Scholarship of $9,500 for the 2014-15 academic year at Eastern Washington University.

This scholarship is awarded to a student who will attend Eastern after graduating from Orcas Island High School, which Lancaster graduated from in 2014.

She is the daughter of Therese and Scott Lancaster of Orcas Island.
