Snider has lectured in the United States, Canada, Great Britain; and Amsterdam, designed educational programs; published articles, conducted workshops, curated exhibitions, organized panels and conferences, collaborated with an architectural firm, and serves on the Board of a Charter School.

“In the field of art education, great attention has been paid to child and adolescent development in art,” Snider said. “And although there are often well-attended art classes in our senior centers, community centers and nursing homes, there has been little scholarly interest in the ‘education’ of the elderly self-taught artist. This presentation will look at the work of four specific artists and show how they transformed  their life experiences into the powerful imagery in their paintings and drawings.”
