Dodgeball with a twist

Dodgeball is back after rave reviews from October’s Halloween-themed games.

On Saturday, Jan. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the high school gym, the high school Environmental Club will be sponsoring its Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Dodgeball Tournament for all ages.

Teams of 10 or less are invited to participate by filling out a sign-up form from the high school office or the library, Island Market, Homegrown, and post office bulletin boards.

There will be other games to play such as relay races, blob tag, and red light/green light. Popcorn will be available for purchase. Costumes are highly encouraged, and there will be a costume bin for those who decide they need a little something extra to add to their game. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams and players.

The cost per team is $20. The money goes towards a field trip to the Hanford nuclear facility where students will learn about the production of nuclear energy as well as the dedicated clean up efforts by local Hanford environmentalists.
