Artworks features Anna Williams

The Orcas Island Artworks features portraits and landscapes in oil by Anna Williams through the month of April.

Williams’ formal art training began at the age of 12 in Jacksonville, Florida. Her interest in theater took precedence in college, where she studied set and costume design. Later she became involved in clothing and textile design and worked as “an architectural midwife,” designing more than 70 homes in the Seattle area.

Painting became her central focus again when she and her husband moved to Orcas full time in 1997. She has studied with Terry Johnson for the last five years.

The Artworks is open daily from 10 to 4.
