Call for Artists: Landscape Art

Submitted by Orcas Center.

Orcas Center’s Visual Arts Committee (VAC) is calling all Orcas artists to showcase your creativity and passion for landscape art! Landscapes are the dynamic backdrop to our lives. They help define the self-image of the people within a specific region and give a sense of place that differentiates one area from another. Join us for this fantastic community show that explores the world around us.

Community shows are open to ALL island artists, beginning and experienced alike. Its purpose is to showcase island art and celebrate the creativity of our neighbors! To exhibit in a community show, an artist needs to come on the Delivery Day (for this show, Feb. 28) from 10:15 a.m. – 12 p.m. with their artwork ready to be hung or displayed on a podium. Join us for the reception on Friday, March 1 starting at 5:30 p.m. to see the full show with featured artist, Avi Shmueli!
