The Visual Arts Committee of Orcas Center welcomes all Orcas artists to participate in the next community show: Faces of Orcas.

Bring in your portraits of humans, animals, island events, etc. – current or past – to celebrate the diverse beings that have made our island home so special. All mediums are welcome: photography, paintings, drawings, sculpture, and whatever else you use to create!

Community shows are open to ALL island artists, beginning and experienced alike! The purpose is to showcase island art and celebrate local talent. To exhibit in a community show, an artist needs to come on the Delivery Day (May 31) with their artwork ready for display. Your item does NOT need to be for sale in order to participate in this show. Artists are urged to attend and contribute hors d’oeuvres for the Artist Reception the following week on Friday, June 9 from 5:30-7 p.m. Please note: There will not be an online gallery for this show.

Dates to Remember:

Intake: Wednesday, May 31 from 10:15 a.m. to noon.

Art Opening: Fri, June 9 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

On Display: June 9 – July 19

Pickup: Weds, July 19 from 10:15 a.m. to noon
