The Visual Arts Committee of Orcas Center is excited to announce the next community art show: “Botanicals and Blooms” with featured artist Zoe Osenbach in the lobby.

Installation day: Wednesday, June 25 from 10:15 a.m. to noon.

Art opening: Friday, June 27 from 5:30-7 p.m.

On display: June 27 through July 22

Pickup: Wednesday, July 23 from 10:15 a.m. to noon.

Explore our natural world with this community show featuring botanicals and blooms! Artists are encouraged to submit pieces that reflect personal interpretations of nature’s flora — whether realistic, abstract or conceptual. We anticipate this being a large show, so one item per artist, please!

Community shows are open to all island artists, beginning and experienced alike. The purpose is to showcase island art and celebrate our creative neighbors! To exhibit in a community show, an artist needs to come on the installation day (for this show, June 25) with their artwork ready to be displayed or hung. Artists are urged to attend and contribute hors d’oeuvres for the Artist Reception.
