Orcas Center is seeking actors of all ages to audition to play multiple parts in “Galileo,” a play by Bertolt Brecht, translation by David Hare, directed by Robert Hall and performed on the OffCenter Stage Jan. 24 to 26 and 31 and Feb. 2. Open auditions are Oct. 22 and 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the OffCenter.

The play is about the beginning of the renaissance: the telescope, astronomy, and the dawn of science. Filled with an exciting blend of real drama and biting humor, “Galileo” represents a story about the bridling of new truth and of history’s most famous conflict: reason and faith.
