Obstruction Island artist Caroline Buchanan has a painting, “Across the Buttes,” in the invitational show of the Northwest Watercolor Society’s signature members. The show, which is in the Plaza Building of the Seattle Design Center in the Georgetown district of  Seattle, will run from May 11 until June 6. The opening reception is from 2 to 4 p.m. on May 11.

The Signature Show is a representation of artists who have received the highest achievement that NWWS can bestow. Buchanan has been a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society since 1981. She is known in the islands for her paintings and for her classes.
