“The Boys in the Boat” author Daniel J. Brown is coming to Orcas on Sept. 5 at 5 p.m. in the Parish Hall at Emmanuel Church. A reception and book-signing will immediately follow at Darvill’s Book Store. His book tells the true story of the University of Washington’s 1936 rowing team and their epic quest for an Olympic Gold Medal.
