Author to donate $100 to education foundation for every book sold

Hello!!

I’m so glad you’re alive!!!

Now lean in really, really close…

Because I’ve got a secret to tell you.

So begins Robert Kerstetter’s enchanting tale, “The Invisible Cloud of Ouch.” This is a story for children of all ages, and beautifully reveals an important secret for navigating our complicated world.

Author Kerstetter visited Orcas a few times last year and became enchanted with our island. He heard through a friend that Art for Orcas Kids was trying to raise money to support the program. AOK provides art education to our K-8 public school children by bringing artists into the schools to work and inspire them.

Kerstetter has created a remarkable fundraising opportunity for AOK: He is donating 24 copies of his book to Darvill’s and for each copy sold, he will donate $100 to AOK. That’s a potential gift of $2,400 to the program. The cost of the book is $18.95 and Darvill’s has also generously agreed to donate 20 percent of the sale price to AOK.

As only 24 of this numbered, limited edition book will be on sale, be sure to visit Darvill’s soon! AOK is a program of the Orcas Island Education Foundation. For more information, visit http://oief.org/programs/a-ok/.
