According to Paul Kamin, Sail Orcas member, the club is celebrating one of its most successful seasons with strong participation in its summer youth sailing program, and adult sailing lessons. The teens competing on High School sailing team have also had a great year on the local racing circuit.

Special appreciation is being offered to the volunteer instructors that make these programs possible. This year’s instructors included Chris White, Howard Barbour, Jeanne Skott, Mike Douglas, Joe Ciskowski, Scott Miller, Bob Brunius, Paul Kamin, Tom Saul, Miles McCoy, Bruce Brackett and Tom Temple. Inquires can be made to Kamin at 376-2127.

Sail Orcas is a volunteer foundation that exists to share the joy of sailing with both youth and adults by providing high quality instruction and affordable access to boats and facilities. “We promote this lifetime sport by while teaching safe boat handling, teamwork, sportsmanship, camaraderie, and marine stewardship.”
