Every year, our family has enjoyed a week of camping each summer on the incomparable, incredibly beautiful Orcas Island, but this summer we will be staying home. We care deeply about Orcas Island and about the people who live there year-round.

We want to do our part in helping to keep you safe. We don’t want your limited medical facilities to become stretched too far, and we don’t want you to face illnesses and tragedy if we could aid in preventing it.

We just wanted you to know that we will miss you this summer, but that you matter so much more than summer camping plans. Thank you for always being such gracious hosts—we are already looking forward to next summer.
