On a rainy day in October, 2012 I received fast, professional medical assistance from Orcas Island Fire and Rescue and Emergency Medical Services.

If my responders hadn’t responded as promptly as they did, or if they hadn’t been as qualified as they were that day, I wouldn’t be sitting here writing this letter … my life was saved. I know personally from the assistance they provided me, and professionally from the assistance (often life-saving) OIFR EMS has provided time and again to our clients at Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services. They need and deserve our support.
