Thanks for help with Salmonberry benefit

The board and families of Salmonberry School would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped to make our May 8 dinner and auction such a tremendous success. We are touched by the generosity of this wonderful community and grateful for the support and encouragement given to us by so many.

First, we would like to thank our neighbors, colleagues, friends and family who attended the dinner and all the individuals and businesses, far too numerous to name, who donated items to our auction. Special thanks go to Island Market, Doe Bay Resort, the fabulous bakers at Inn at Ship Bay, Roses, Homegrown and Passionate for Pies, the Emanuel Episcopal Church for the use of their beautiful hall, the fabulous crew of servers, Al, Peter, Heather and Wally, who generously volunteered their time and to our amazing musicians, the Crackers, who entertained us throughout the evening. We are especially indebted to our wonderful caterer, Karina DeVaux, without whose help things would never have come together so smoothly. It is through the generosity and support of individuals like these that Salmonberry School continues to flourish and grow, providing a holistic educational pathway for our island’s children.
