Thank you for a great festival

Thank you to everyone who made the 25th Season of the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival a truly extraordinary event! From our opening concert August 4th on Lopez Island through closing night August 20th at Orcas Center, from our two free outdoor concerts on the Village Green to our 10 Main Stage concerts and our extra special “get out of the rain and thunder on the porch” Children’s Concert, it was an amazing two-plus weeks of fantastic music and fun.

We are so thankful to our artists who come from across the country and around the world. Their commitment to bringing to so many unique works to life was heard in every note, and we are grateful to the Orcas community for the warm welcome these artists receive. There are so many individuals who make this possible – our Board of Directors, our sponsors, home hosts, crew, myriad volunteers (we wish we could list you all), and of course our enthusiastic audiences, both in person and online.

In addition to those amazing individuals, many community groups and businesses pitched in. We sincerely thank the Orcas Island Community Band, the Lions Club, Orcas Island Historical Museum, Orcas Island Film Festival, The Office Cupboard, Orcas Café, Wild Island, Voyager, The Kitchen, Chimayo, Island Market, Delmi Sanchez, and Orcas Island Winery.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Orcas Center – it’s so much more than the beautiful venue for our main stage and livestreamed concerts. We are so grateful for their dedication to helping us elevate every aspect of our concert presentations.

And finally, congratulations to our Founder and Artistic Director, Aloysia Friedmann. We are overjoyed and so grateful that, all those years ago, she thought, “Wouldn’t it be great to start a Chamber Music Festival on Orcas Island?” The Festival has enriched many lives and created such beautiful relationships of giving and receiving among so many on Orcas and everywhere. We look forward to the next 25 years and beyond.
