As a long-time Islander, I eagerly endorse Patrick Shepler for Fire Commissioner.

Rather than reiterate his well-documented professional training and experiences, I’ll tell you about the type of person Patrick Shepler is. Patrick is calm, honest, and authentic. During his 15 years serving Orcas Island as a paramedic, Patrick has proven himself worthy of your trust and confidence.

About two years ago, I had to be flown off the island. As a senior, I was terrified. Patrick’s care and kindness helped pull me through my crisis. The care he and his crew provided gave me hope; and that hope got me through the storm. This community will be lucky to have Patrick Shepler as their next Fire Commissioner.
