The first weekends of the holiday shopping season have brought a very visible showing of ‘locals’ to Eastsound and the island’s shops … seemingly more than in recent years.  Perhaps it was the various promotions presented by the Orcas Chamber or the merchant community.  Possibly the favorable weather.  Maybe the strong “shop local” sentiment.  All of the above?

No matter; whatever has brought folks out to support their local merchants and neighbors – a collective “Thanks!” Your presence is known and appreciated!
