It is with mixed emotions that I formally announce my resignation from the Orcas Island School Board. The opportunity to serve our island’s children was rewarding and eye-opening. At this time in my life, I have decided to follow my dreams of helping the refugees of the world by taking the plunge and heading to Europe. I have met a woman from Italy, and with this foundation, I will put my best effort into giving some help while exploring Europe for the first time. Please come by Island Market and say hello this weekend. I will be having a bake sale to raise money for this trip, and to say hello to everyone on the island. Thank you for paying attention to the youth in our community. They are all brilliant.
