The word of the day is options, for I believe this word to represent the single most important representation of freedom that exists. In 2020 we are surrounded by them, however, the options that truly matter are those concerning our moral compass. Without critically looking at our lives, we categorically miss the moral options that are presented to us. For example, our customary options for housing: rent or buy. But isn’t that limiting and perhaps even worth looking deeper into the “implications” of these actions? A third option does exist, one removed from the grasp of capital: freedom camp. If properly managed, we as a community would be opening up a bright new world of options that could do our community a great justice, keeping it safe and sanitary, and allowing people the option to live softly on this earth.
