The 2011 class of WSU Beach Watchers will be starting soon! Classes begin on Lopez on Wednesday, March 30 and Saturday, April 2. After that we will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays until May 18 (times will vary with ferry schedules).

We will have many field classes, exploring the islands’ special places with experts, including some of the outer islands and trips to Vancouver Island and Padilla Bay (Skagit County). It is a wonderful way to meet new friends and understand your ecosystem. At the end of your class, you will have the opportunity to give back to your place and your community with service, with projects that are both fun and educational.
