The San Juan County Economic Development Council will present a free half-day workshop for small businesses and entrepreneurs on San Juan Island, on Monday, Sept. 19, from 8:30 a.m. until noon.
The course will be presented by James McCafferty, director of the Skagit/San Juan Islands Small Business Development Center and a management consultant for over 10 years.
McCafferty will cover business financing, discuss financing options and provide a reality check for those considering a new or expanded business venture. He will be available for one-on-one consultation after the workshop.
Workshop participants will leave with the resources and support they need to create a business plan, including a realistic financial plan. McCafferty will also cover current federal and Washington State tax incentive programs for small businesses.
Advance registration is recommended. To reserve your space call 360-378-2906 or email: email@example.com.
The class will be held at Skagit Valley College’s Friday Harbor campus.
The class is being offered as part of the San Juan County Economic Development Council’s Business Education Series, created by the EDC in response to concerns from local business owners and overall increased demand from new businesses.
