Cody Phillips has opened “Cody’s Chimney Sweep and Gutter Cleaning” on Orcas Island.

Phillips, who is also a barber at Suzie’s Barbershop in Eastsound, grew up in Shoreline, Washington. He met his wife Olivia in front of Pawki’s in 2011 and they were married at the community church in March 2015. Phillips went to school to be a barber at Paroba College in Everett and graduated in July 2016. He started cutting hair at Suzie’s in August. After seeing a need on the island, he opened a chimney sweeping business. He says sweeping chimneys and cutting hair is a wintertime endeavor while spring and summer will be solely dedicated to the barbershop. To contact Phillips, call 206-743-1817.
