‘Money Smart Week’ at Orcas Library

Money Smart Week is coming to the Orcas Library for the second year.The program started as a Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago program 10 years ago. After partnering with the American Library Association, Washington state has been doing it for three years. The focus is free, unbiased consumer financial education.

“We went whole hog last year with programming every day,” said Mary Pugh of the Orcas Island Library. “Although participation was small, we had attendance at each workshop.
