Mara Williams to start practicing at the Healing Arts Center

With over 35 years as a healthcare provider, Mara Williams is a board-certified nurse practitioner and energetic healer, and author of “Nature’s Dirty Needle.” Since becoming a nurse practitioner, Williams’ focus has been on integrative medicine and using the best from both Eastern and Western medicine. Initially, she learned how to use nutritional medicine instead of pharmaceuticals to help with disease, to balance hormones, and give support to patients who simply wish to feel better and have more energy.

“I am pleased and happy to be working in a cooperative environment with other alternative practitioners.” I really feel like the Healing Arts Center is a perfect fit,” said Williams. “I am excited to offer my expertise to this wonderful community and help improve the quality of life for my clients.”

Williams became an expert in assisting women dealing with hormonal imbalance and menopause. She does this by using variable dosing to create a normal cycle. This adds health benefits, unlike static dosing which eventually can lead to significant health issues. If you have hot flashes, insomnia, irritability, weight gain, loss of libido, or any other symptoms of menopause or PMS, this is the protocol.

Her practice expanded several years ago to include discovering and treating the root cause of complex acute and chronic illness; including, Lyme Disease and the co-infections that accompany it. (These ‘bugs’ are a group of stealth infectious bacteria, parasites, virus, and fungus that are very intelligent, work together and communicate with one another, allowing them to evade the immune system and adapt, stealing or hijacking the body’s processes for their own benefit.) Carried by ticks and other biting insects like fleas, mosquitos, and mites; these infections eventually cause terrible suffering if left undiagnosed and untreated.

If you have been diagnosed with any autoimmune disorder (MS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, etc.), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, or any other diagnosis that is given for ‘atypical neurological symptoms’, you may have an underlying chronic infection as the root cause of your illness.

Williams recognizes that diagnoses of Irritable Bowel Disease, recurring respiratory infections, intermittent or ongoing joint pain, or muscle pain unrelated to exercise can have an underlying root cause that, once discovered, can lead to healing and an end to many symptoms.

Additionally, Williams has learned to treat Biotoxin illness that includes mold toxin and colonization of almost any system in the body; for example, the sinuses, lungs, GI Tract, even joints and other tissues. Mold toxin illness mimics many of the infectious diseases found with Lyme Disease and other causes of chronic illness.

Healing happens in layers like peeling an onion. The top layer must be dealt with first and then the next. Discerning this is critical to recovery. Treating an underlying layer will not work and may make someone feel worse. Williams does this by listening to each person’s story. Through the story, clues lead to a diagnosis and direction for treatment and healing.

If you have sought help from many providers, been told your tests are all negative, and that ‘it is all in your head,’ Williams can help.

Williams will be available at the Healing Arts Center in Eastsound on Mondays and Thursdays beginning April 3. Call 707-721-2328, 360-376-4002, or email info@marawilliams.net.
