New class series at Orcas Library

A four-class series, called “Cultivating the New and the Now” will be held at the Orcas Island Library on Wednesday, May 12, May 19, June 2, and June 9 from 12:15 to 1 p.m.

Feldenkrais® + being present + cultivating new Habits

The class will combine gentle, slow, non-habitual and attentive movements (in chairs) from the Feldenkrais Method®, with practice in being present in our ongoing lives, with discussion of opportunities to nurture the non-habitual.

The series will be led by Chris Elms, who has a Master’s Degree in Psychology, counsels using the work of Byron Katie, and is a certified Practioner in the Feldenkrais Method and the Anat Baniel Method.

Pre-register at the library. The cost is $20 for the series, and all proceeds going to the library. The class is limited to 13 participants.
