The Funhouse Commons was chosen as a recipient of the “4 percent Friday Community Shopping Day” program offered by the Skagit Valley Food Co-op in Mount Vernon on July 25.

The co-op based its selection on the Funhouse’s local community service, especially its focus on and services for youth.

Recipient organizations receive 4 percent of the day’s gross receipts at the Skagit Valley Food Co-op.

The Funhouse will use the funds it receives to purchase nutritional snacks for kids participating in its After School, Ninja Camp and teen programs.
