The Eastsound Planning Review Committee will meet at the Eastsound fire hall today, Jan. 5, from 3 to 5 p.m.

The meeting will cover the following agenda items:

  • County council members Richard Fralick and/or Patty Miller will give an update on solid waste, Critical Areas Ordinance update and the Shoreline Master Plan;
  • Project Review: Comment on the Community Development and Planning Department draft policy ‘Retail Incidental to an Allowable Use’ Porter Substation;
  • Planning review committee discussion of process and checklist;
  • Scenic Byways: Recommendations for kiosk, ride share and shuttle bus locations;
  • 2012 work plan: Review of draft work plan prior to meeting with council; Shoreline Master Plan Characterization: review of five shoreline zones with county planner Colin Maycock;
  • Streetscape plan: Presentation of revised plan and outline of work to move forward by Fred Klein.
