Orcas photographer Anita Leigh Holladay has had five full-scale exhibits and several smaller shows of her work locally since 2005.
Holladay’s daughter, Elli Blaine, a senior at Orcas High School, is a photographer as well. She has had one show of her photography and has participated in several multiple artist exhibits at the Orcas Center and the Senior Center.
The two artists will be presenting a combined show in March at Washington Federal Savings Bank in Eastsound, called “Flowers and Other Favorites.”
Both photographers work digitally. Blaine’s work in sepia gives her prints an old-time look. For Holladay’s flowers and nature images she uses techniques that can duplicate the look of traditional photography or paintings.
