Orcas family to visit Africa | Jewelry supplies needed

In a few weeks, Edee Kulper and her two sons, Evan (12) and Levi (7) are headed to a Kenyan orphanage called Heroes of the Nation. They will be flying into Nairobi, driving four hours north to a town 8,000 feet up called Nyahururu, and staying there for eight days.

It all came about after the three of them attended Seattle Missions Fest back in October. One of the 80 different missionary exhibitors was a director from Heroes of the Nation. When she heard that Edee’s passion is photography, she asked if Edee would come and update the orphanage’s outdated photography for their website and media purposes. After months of deliberation, Edee agreed, and she and the boys will also be conducting classes and helping put on a carnival for the children. In addition, the Kulpers will be bringing lots of beads, wire, clasps, tools, and jewelry components in order to teach the 500+ kids how to make their own jewelry.
